Well organized event. Knowledgeable and personable host. Genuine concern for safety. Nice people. And fun.
Next time I’m definitely bringing my AIMA Santa Monica to the event! JT is a fantastic host! The whole group was super friendly and the route was well planned! Love to meet some more people passionate about eWheels and the city of DC!
Had a great time. J.T. was an awesome host and the group was so fun and friendly.
The weather was perfect and the ride was too!
Mural tour was fun and informative. Will recommend this group for fun hangouts.
It was my first time riding an e-scooter on my own for an extended period of time. It was a beautiful day, perfect for cruising through the streets of DC for the mural tour. Our tour guide was well-prepared in leading us around town. He made sure to periodically stop to make sure those at the back of the group caught up and made it through the intersections safely. Art is subjective so I was drawn to some murals more than others but there were certainly impressive exhibits on our route. We learned about the history of each painting during our stops. Overall a great experience and looking forward to tours in the future!
I had a blast riding my scooter with the group for the first time. We zoomed through DC, passing by vibrant murals, and captured some great photos. The host and everyone were so friendly, and we lucked out with perfect weather β it was sunny and warm. This experience truly made my week!
All good, had a great time with my first outing.
J.T. Did a great job setting expectation, pre-planning a route with a narrative for each stop, and keeping everyone together and engaged.
I’m thankful for his work/organization!
Wow! The Tour of Dupont, Downtown, Mt. Vernon Square, NoMa, Eckington…etc., was amazing. E-cycling is new to me, fortunately the seasoned members were really helpful getting me set-up with a “set of wheels”. We toured through parts of the city I had heard mentioned (only in passing) a time or two…. JT stopped at selected places along the way to share relevant history and fun facts. I will share a little of what I learned (props to JT) in this review. First stop was The Carnegie Library in Mt. Vernon Square, where JT shared its history since dedication in 1903 to present. It was the first desegregated public building in DC and used as the central public library for over 70 years. We later stopped at the iconic Ben’s Chili Bowl— we had no time for a snack, but we did learn about what makes the food special and took a group picture in front of the giant mural featuring influential African American individuals associated with the city. A few stops later we visited a mystical miniature garden cloaked in exotic ground cover—it was aptly named “The Magic Tree Box”. This award-winning display housed fairies, elves, hobbits, and other little folk living in harmony with the local residents of the Logan and Dupont Circle neighborhoods. The tour was educational, fast moving fun, and safe (as the group obeyed accepted rules of group touring). Thanks, JT, it was an awesome experience.
Great ride, fun group & good vibes,
J.T did an amazing job planning the route and explained different landmarks!
J.T. is such a good dude and so selfless! π
This tour is awesome! And, amazingly, it’s free! I joined the one on October 23 and we rode all around U Street corridor/Columbia Heights/Adams Morgan area… about 2.5 hours in total. JT is an excellent, laid-back host and guide. Not only did he take us to some fun, “off the beaten path” spots (Barbie Pond, anyone?) but he took fun photos at every stop and then assembled them into a professional-quality video for some great memories afterward. All complimentary. We had all kinds of wheels in our group, from electric scooters to regular bicycles, and the tour was very doable for everyone. I highly recommend this as a fun and unique afternoon out!
I had a great time with eWheel Going Out Group, meeting new people, and exploring DC on Sunday was an awesome plan, and I encourage you to take the chance to join next time. J.T is a good and kind guide so you’ll have a good experience. GO have fun with eWheel Going Out Group.
As a new eWheel rider, one of my concerns was ability to keep up with the group but JT did a great job in making sure our large group was able to stick together with frequent stops along the way whenever the group got separated, regardless of the type of eWheel we were riding. The routes are very well planned in advanced with details on every single segment and stop along the way. We were able to enjoy the tour and find all the bike lanes to safely travel on. Would definitely do again. Highly recommended!
It was my first ride with a group of people and i really enjoyed it !! J.T was such a great guide ! I have learnt new things about the U.S story and i slept less dumb (as we said in France) π
Great group ride and well organized. Enjoyed stopping and learning about these places, I’ll definitely be in for the next one!
Awesome planned ride and route, JT did a great job of setting up a route and narrating are different stops!! It was great getting to meet new people and seeing the city!!
I wanted thank to Jay for an interesting, eventful day. Meeting new people, visiting beautiful and interesting places, learning a lot of new things. We have so much fun.
I enjoyed the rides I’ve been on. It was really neat to learn about lesser known landmarks that I would have otherwise ridden right by. And the people I’ve met on the rides have always been good company.
Fun folks, good vibes, different ewheels, fun adventures.
A fun time with friendly people. Well organized on a safe route, mostly dedicated bike lanes.
This was an awesome group ride! Everyone was friendly and it was good to meet other ewheel/scooter/bike enthusiast! It was my first time joining this group for a ride but will not be my last. JT did an awesome job.
This is a great group for a laid back ride through some of the most interesting neighborhoods of DC. Itβs always more fun to ride with other people and check out all the gear, too.
Congenial people & good planning, so you can enjoy the outing without worrying about the logistics.
Fun times! Also interesting city history!
Really well organized, a great group and lots of fun.
Friendly group of riders!
